This is an illustration of a function to convert a set of CSV contents into a Hash Table. Please note these assumptions:

  • The source CSV file must have headers
  • Only the first two columns are to be utilized. If there are additional columns, those would be ignored. This is because a Hash Table works best when there is exactly one key for each corresponding value
  • If there are duplicate keys, the latter value will overwrite previous duplicates
